It starts with a signal.

Maybe you stumble upon a strange radio station that tells you to follow it. Maybe you’re hearing or seeing the same words or numbers over and over again, or maybe you receive an email from an unknown sender. Maybe it’s simply just a phone call. Whatever it is, it’s everywhere and you can’t stop thinking about it. You decide to follow it, to find out where it’s coming from.

You leave in a car or a plane or on foot and, eventually, you find yourself in a desert. You’re not sure how you got there. Ahead of you is a town surrounded by a wall, an oasis in the desert. Behind you is nothing but sand. You walk toward the town.
